PGIM Investments pushes global expansion with CMO

PGIM Investments, the $1trn investment business of Prudential Financial, has appointed a chief marketing officer to assist its global expansion strategy.

Sheri Taylor Gilchrist previously held the roles of managing director and global head of marketing services at Bank of New York Mellon, and will be PGIM’s first ever CMO. She has also worked at Eaton Vance, Harte Hanks, Epsilon, Young & Roubicam and American Express.

At PGIM she will be responsible for helping grow US mutual fund and global Ucits business, particularly platforms that currently have some $96bn in assets under management, as of the end of September.

Digital data and analytics will be among the tools used to build business globally, including raising awareness of the PGIM brand. The manager launched some 35 funds in the US in the past five years, and has built up its Ucits platform to some 26 funds since launch that launched in 2013.
