Tages Capital launches first sub-fund to International Funds Sicav

Tages Capital, the alternative investment manager with some $2.3bn in AUM, has launched the Tages Fore Ucits fund, a global credit long/short sub-fund to the Tagest International Funds Sicav domiciled in Luxembourg.

Developed in parternship with Fore Research & Management, the Tages Fore Ucits is planned to be followed by further sub-fund launches, as both partners believe there is significant opportunity to grow in the Ucits space.

Jamie Kermisch, CEO of Tages Capital, said that the decision to partner with Fore in launching the fund came after working for many years together.

“Fore Research offers a strong track record coupled with an enviable record of capital protection and lack of correlation to other major asset classes.  With significant capital invested at launch, we believe that the Tages Fore Ucits fund provides investors with access to a highly experienced team and a fund that offers the flexibility to be positioned both net long or net short at a time of higher market volatility and global economic uncertainty.”

“Tages has become one of the most active firms investing in the fast growing Ucits alternatives segment, building on its leadership in absolute strategies, where the firm focuses on excellence in manager and strategy selection backed up by deep operational due diligence.  The launch of the Tages Fore Ucits fund will be followed by additional fund launches which will offer both our existing institutional clients and new external investors access to a wide range of absolute return strategies managed by exceptionally skilled fund managers.”
