DWS appoints head of Sal. Oppenheim fund research

German asset manager DWS has appointed Andreas Marnett as director. He has been active as fund selector for DWS since 1 June 2018. The change occurs as part of the transfer of the asset management business from Sal. Oppenheim to the asset management division of Deutsche Bank.

Marnett expands the multi-asset team of DWS and reports to Rene Penzler, co-director of Multi Strategy. He and his colleagues evaluate the funds of the DWS investment universe, means DWS funds, non-DWS funds, active and passive funds. He is based in Cologne.

Marnett joins from Cologne-based bank Sal. Oppenheim, where he was head of fund research for almost 10 years. Before Sal. Oppenheim Marnett worked as a research assistant for a member of the German Bundestag.
