Edmond de Rothschild teams up with Samsung Asset Management

Edmond de Rothschild Group has entered into a partnership with Samsung Asset Management, with the aim of launching a European high dividend fund for the South Korean asset manager towards the end of the second quarter.

Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management will act as the fund’s advisor and the investment process developed by its teams will be used by the fund. Subsequently, Samsung Asset Management will distribute Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management’s flagship European convertible bond fund in South Korea.

Both companies are also in talks over launching an Asian equity fund aimed at capitalising on Samsung Asset Management’s stock picking experience.

Samsung Asset Management managed €160bn of assets as of December 2015, while Edmond de Rothschild controlled €150bn of assets under management by the end of 2015.
