Emergence seeds La Financière Responsable

French seeding fund Emergence, advised by NewAlpha Asset Management, has selected La Financière Responsable as the sixth firm to be seeded in its sub-fund dedicated to long-only European equities strategies, Emergence Actions.

The deal brings €25m to the LFR Euro Développement Durable fund, the flagship Ucits-compliant strategy of La Financière Responsable focusing on SRI equities in the eurozone and managing €70m in assets before Emergence’s seeding.

Emergence said this seeding closes the €200m investment program of Emergence Actions.

La Financière Responsable’s stock picking relies on the assessment of growth perspectives of companies in the eurozone’s equity universe.

ESG criteria are assessed through over 80 indicators and stocks invested for three to five years.

Moreover the pick of the LFR Euro Développement Durable fund matches French institutional investors’ obligation to disclose their carbon footprint.

The five other companies whose strategies were seeded in Emergence Actions have been Focus Asset Managers, Financière Arbevel, Talence Gestion, Finaltis and Fideas Capital.

Since 2012, some €350m have been invested by Emergence in the funds of French asset management companies for its equity and absolute return compartments.
