ETF Securities’ Siano appointed head of Southern Europe
ETF Securities has announced that the head of Italy, Massimo Siano (pictured), has been appointed head of Southern Europe and will oversee the sales efforts for Italy, France, Monaco, Spain and Portugal.
Under his helm, ETF Securities has established a strong foothold in Italy, listing over 160 products over the last 7 years. The Italian listings of the company’s two flagship gold products, ETFS Physical Gold and Gold Bullion Securities have enough daily trading volume to be included in the FTSE MIB index.
ETF Securities is currently diversifying its strategy beyond commodities. In his new role, Siano will be responsible for encouraging the use of appropriate ETPs across multiple asset classes within investors’ diversified portfolios.
He will report into Bernhard Wenger, head of Distribution for Europe.
Bernhard Wenger, Head of Distribution for Europe, ETF Securities Limited, said: “We feel that Massimo’s new appointment is an important step towards capitalising upon growing demand for ETPs in these markets. Massimo has built up extensive knowledge of European investor demands since joining the company in 2007 and we are confident he will continue to build momentum in these markets.”
