Fokus Fund Advisor & Universal Investment launch fokus fund Germany+

Fokus Fund Advisors and Universal Investment announced the launch of fokus fund Germany+. A fundamentally oriented long-only mixed fund that focuses on German secondary stocks. The fund’s approach is designed to provide a high degree of flexibility between equities and bonds. The selection of the titles takes place through an extensive, multi-stage research process. . “For us, ‘+’ also means taking advantage of opportunities in other European countries and also investing in fundamentally attractive stocks,” says Sascha Gebhard, fund manager of the new fund.

In addition to this, the portfolio has the potential to reduce the fluctuation margin in weak market phases by increasing the cash quotes and adding bonds. This strategy is also supported by the use of sentiment indicators. “The basic positions of the fund are selected according to the classic value criteria, whereby value is paid to regular dividend payments,” says Gebhard.

“On the pension side, the fund is focused on corporate and convertible bonds, even if they are underweight by reason of the current interest rate environment”, says Gebhard. The fund does not follow any benchmarks and it also looks at very small stocks, which for the most part are not at all the focus of larger investors.

In the long term, an increase of 10% per annum is expected. Particularly in periods of crisis, a stability fund is to be placed in the portfolio through a high cash position.
