Amundi hires head of Debt Fund Management for real and alternative asset arm

French asset management group Amundi has appointed Thierry de Vergnes as head of Debt Fund Management within its real and alternative asset arm established in September 2016.

The platform is led by Amundi’s global head of Real and Alternative Assets Pedro Antonio Arias, to whom de Vergnes will be reporting.

Prior to joining Amundi, de Vergnes worked at Lyxor where he created and developed the debt fund management business line. He was with the Societe Generale’s group since 2004. He was among founders of Egret Management LLP that is now known as Lyxor AM UK.

Formerly, de Vergnes has been a vice president, managing director at Indosuez Capital, the US debt acquisition finance arm of Indosuez.

Amundi’s global head of Real and Alternative Assets Pedro Antonio Arias discussed the structuring of the platform last year on InvestmentEurope.
