Amundi unveils 2021 bond fund

Paris-headquartered manager Amundi has soft-launched a global bond fund, Amundi Sentiero 2021, on 19 October.

The fund, domiciled in France, primarily invests in private and public debt issued in euro by issuers based in OECD countries members. It seeks annualised net returns of 1% to 3% over a five-year horizon.

Amundi Sentiero 2021 can be invested up to 30% in bonds from companies and public institutions located in emerging countries that are members of the OECD.

The fund will mainly focus on a range of bonds rated from AAA to BBB-. A maximum of 50% of the strategy’s net assets can be invested in high yields bonds (rated from BB+ to B) or non-rated bonds.

Securities issued in other currencies than euro will be hedged against currency risk.

Subscriptions to the fund are opened until 3 February 2017.

Amundi’s assets under management totalled €1.05trn as of 30 September 2016.
