Amundi veteran joins Candriam

Candriam Investors Group, the multi-asset manager owned by New York Life Investment Management, has appointed Guillaume Abel as  global head of Marketing based in the manager’s Paris office.

Abel joins from Amundi Group, which he joined in 1997, and where he recently held the position of global head of Marketing and Communication. Previously, Abel was managing director at CAAM Luxembourg.

Naïm Abou-Jaoudé, CEO Candriam Investors Group and vice chairman of New York Life Investment Management International,  said: “We are very pleased to have Guillaume join our team. His strong track-record and in-depth experience in both Marketing and Global distribution platforms will be a major asset to our Company.”

Candriam has also announced the nomination of Renato Guerriero, global head of European Client Relations, to become a member of the Executive Committee with immediate effect. He joined Candriam in 2001 as head of Institutional Sales in Italy, responsible for the Milan office.

Previous experience includes working for Morgan Guaranty Trust in Brussels, and at Artesia Banking Corporation

Abou-Jaoudé  said: “We congratulate Renato on his exceptional contributions for the past 15 years to the success of Candriam. Over the years, his responsibilities have broadened ever since and I am fully confident that under Renato’s leadership, his team will be able to achieve the ambitious development program we have in place. A strategic priority for us in 2015, will be to continuously focus on Sales and Marketing, in order to further establish Candriam Investors Group as a recognized frontrunner in global asset management.”
