Avenir Finance hires institutional real estate development director

French asset manager Avenir Finance has announced the appointment of Bernard Baret as director of Institutional real estate development. The firm said Baret will boost the development of its real estate offer towards institutional investors.

Baret began its career at Paribas in 1982 where he held several positions such as head of Investments, head of Real Estate. He then moved to Societe Generale Asset Management (SGAM) as head of Real Estate management. After SGAM and Crédit Agricole AM merging to create Amundi in 2010, Baret joined Amundi Immobilier as head of Institutional Relations.

Lyon-based Avenir Finance currently manages €6bn of assets.
