Aviva names new CEO in France

Financial group Aviva has announced the appointment of Patrick Dixneuf as CEO of Aviva France, effective as from 1 November 2016.

He will succeed Nicolas Schimel who spent four years at the head of Aviva France. Schimel is set to leave the group at the end of October.

Dixneuf, who joined Aviva in 2011, is currently overseeing the firm’s innovation plan and has been CEO of Aviva Italy.

Prior to joining Aviva, he held a number of executive roles at Allianz and Paribas before it merged with BNP. He started his career at Alcatel in 1986.

Aviva managed €393bn of assets worldwide as of 31 December 2015.
