AXA IM names global head of Trading & Securities Financing

AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has promoted Paul Squires as global head of Trading & Securities Financing.

Squires is replacing Christophe Roupie. He will report to Julien Fourtou, global head of Multi-Asset Client Solutions.

Squires joined the group in 1996 as a trader and is working as head of Trading since 2005.

Prior to that, he has been a UK equity trader for Sun Life IM, which has become part of AXA IM. He started his career in 1993 as an equity trader for Mercury Asset Management, now known as Blackrock.

Jayne Forbes has been appointed global head of Securities Financing and deputy head of Trading & Securities Financing, reporting to Paul Squires.

Forbes has been working at AXA IM since 2005 as head of Securities Financing.

Adrien Paredes-Vanheule is French-Speaking Europe Correspondent for InvestmentEurope, covering France, Belgium, Geneva and Monaco. Prior to joining InvestmentEurope, he spent almost five years writing for various publications in Monaco, primarily as a criminal and financial court reporter. Before that, he worked for newspapers and radio stations in France, in particular in Lyon.
