Axa names Matt Christensen head of responsible investment

AXA Investment Managers has appointed Matt Christensen as its head of responsible investment, an area he has worked in for nine years.

For seven years he has been at Eurosif – most recently executive director – a European think tank for responsible investment.

Before that, he was a strategy consultant for some of the UK’s 100 largest listed companies.

From 2 May, he will work in Paris reporting to Christophe Coquema, member of the executive board at AXA IM and head of markets and investment strategy.

Coquema said: “Christensen’s appointment underlines once more the attractiveness of AXA IM as a brand, and our long-term vision and our will to position Axa IM as a serious participant in the area of responsible investment.”

Since 2005, Axa has been working to integrate environmental, social, and governance strategies into its allocation decisions.
