BNP Paribas AM’s European large-cap equities head departs

BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNP Paribas AM) has promoted Peter Abbott to its new head of European large-cap equities following Andrew King’s departure.

Abbott, who is currently a senior portfolio manager, will be succeeding Andrew King, who has some 30 years’ financial experience and spent the last 18 years working for BNP Paribas Asset Management.

Taking on his new role officially at the beginning of October, Abbott will report to fundamental active equities chief Guy Davies inheriting a team of 12 investment professionals.

Abbott has worked at the European large-cap equities team for over a decade, since he joined BNP Paribas AM’s subsidiary ABN Amro Asset Management in 2007 and moved later to BNP Paribas AM in 2013.
