BNPP chairman Baudouin Prot said to resign

Baudouin Prot  is said to announce his resignation as chairman of BNP Paribas, with the board deciding about his replacement this week, French media report.

According to the French financial newspaper Les Echos, Jean Lemierre, an advisor to BNP Paribas’ CEO Jean-Laurent Bonnafe could replace Prot as chairman.

Baudouin Prot has been chairman of BNP Paribas since 2011, prior to that, he was CEO for the bank.

BNP Paribas has not yet confirmed the resignation.
