Carmignac confirms UK commitment
French asset manager Carmignac Gestion has reaffirmed its commitment to the UK market by hiring Mark Dunn (pictured) as UK sales director.
Dunn’s appointment quickly follows that of Matthew Wright, hired in October as head of country UK to develop relations with UK financial distributors and wealth managers.
Dunn’s principal task will be to develop our relations with independent distributors, platforms and fund networks, under the responsibility of Wright. Carmignac said Dunn’s appointment reflects its growth strategy and long-term commitment in the UK.
Before joining Carmignac Gestion, Dunn was head of strategic business development at LV Asset Management.
Following Wright’s appointment in October, Carmignac said the opening of the UK office would take place in November, although the exact date still has not been confirmed.
Carmignac Gestion, established in 1989 by founder Edouard Carmignac, today has nearly €50bn in assets under management and runs 19 funds. Its clients include independent and financial advisors, private investors, institutions and banks.
