Carmignac hires Paris distribution head from Franklin Templeton
Carmignac Gestion has recruited Franklin Templeton’s Pierre Andriveau as head of external distribution for independent financial Advisors in Paris. He will report to Ariane Tardieu, head of country for France.
Andriveau spent six years at Franklin Templeton as sales manager and has over a decade of experience in the field.
His appointment underpins Carmignac’s focus on strengthening relationships with IFAs in Paris and the South East.
Carmignac has been enhancing its sales teams across Europe this month. Last week saw two new additions to the local team in Switzerland.
The firm hired Katja Wiechers from BNP Paribas Asset Management in Vienna and Alexander Bischoff from the sales department of Fisch Asset Management in Zurich to build its presence in the country.
Both the Swiss hires will focus on fund distribution through independent financial advisers, family offices, banks, insurance companies and other third party channels.
Founded in 1989, Carmignac manages some €50bn in assets through 18 funds, covering equities, bonds and diversified products, and through discretionary management mandates.
It markets its funds in 11 European countries, including Germany, Spain and the Netherlands. It has two subsidiaries in Luxembourg and Frankfurt, offices in Madrid, Milan and London, and has registered all of its funds intended for professional investors in Singapore.
