Convictions AM poaches Natixis fund manager
Paris-based Convictions Asset Management has recruited Pierre Barral (pictured) as senior global macro portfolio manager from rival group Natixis Asset Management.
According to Convictions AM, Barral’s appointment is to help the company develop its understanding of markets and refine its analysis in such volatile macroeconomic conditions.
Barral, formerly a proprietary trader, joined Convictions AM from Natixis AM where he was an absolute return global macro portfolio manager for over 10 years.
Convictions AM was created in 2008 by Philippe Delienne, former vice-president of Crédit Agricole and founder of French online broker CPR Bourse.
Today Convictions AM has roughly €900m of assets under management. Key investors include institutions, private banks, family offices and private individuals.
