Exclusive: Fund manager exits French boutique

Hicham El Aissaoui, portfolio manager at Athymis Gestion, has left the company, InvestmentEurope can reveal.

He has been with the French asset management firm since February 2013, having been involved in stock picking as well as in fund and hedge fund analysis/selection.

El Aissaoui was notably the lead portfolio manager on the Athymis Millennial fund, launched in June 2016 by Athymis Gestion and co-ran the Athymis Better Life, the Athymis Patrimoine and Athymis Alternatifs funds.

In addition, InvestmentEurope has learned Claire Bruhin has joined Athymis Gestion in March as portfolio manager. Previously, she worked as a fund analyst at French state-owned company CNP Assurances.

Another recent addition to Athymis Gestion’s team has been the appointment of Amina Touaibia last December as assistant portfolio manager. At the same time, Muriel Temfak, who was working as assistant portfolio manager since May 2015 with the firm, left the French boutique.

Athymis Gestion was established in 2007 and is led by chairman Stéphane Toullieux.
