Finance Innovation publishes tech suggestions

Finance Innovation, a global business and research cluster dedicated to financial services and based in Paris, has published a white paper on innovation levers in the French asset management industry. The publication focuses on eight strategic points in order to comfort France’s international ranking in the AM sector.

The eight points reviewed by Finance Innovation are the following:  development of long-term saving; SRI promoting; new ways of distribution of asset products; strengthening of risk managing; complex valuation; improvement of buy side analyse; incubation of asset management companies and promotion of the industry’s emerging talents, impact of digital.

Twenty-four priority areas for innovation have also been targeted. Finance Innovation listed solutions such as : “Favouring and supervising the development of platforms establishing consistency between savings and investment”;  “favouring international fund sales tools such as intelligent translations and multilingual formations”; “developing a platform creating links between large institutional investors and entrepreneurial asset management companies”; “catching clients’ wishes through an extensive use of social networks.”

Philippe Ithurbide, president of the asset management work group at Finance Innovation, said: “Many factors led us to reflect on the priority areas for innovation in our industry, including the economic crisis, new regulations, the increasing competition, the necessary adaptation to digital changes or the arrival of non-financial actors. Finance Innovation has launched a cooperative approach that allows every actor involved in the financial industry to share their thoughts about innovation in AM and provide concrete solutions.”

Finance Innovation counts over 300 public and private members involved in the French economy.
