BlackRock business iShares has added to its single country equity range in launching the iShares MSCI France Ucits ETF.

The fund aims to provide 85% exposure to the French equity universe of large and mid cap companies. It is a physically backed ETF, meaning it will purchase and hold shares in the 73 constituents of the underlying index.

The launch takes iShares’ range of single country funds to eight, including those tracking the UK, France, Germany and Switzerland.

Tom Fekete, head of Product Development for iShares in EMEA, said there was a trend among investors towards more specific regions, countries and sectors.
