French boutique names head of Asset Management

Paris-based boutique Ecofi Investissements has promoted Olivier Guillou to the position of head of Asset Management since 1 November 2016.

He has also become a member of the firm’s executive committee. Guillou, who joined Ecofi in 1993, will oversee all divisions.

It includes the equity team led by Olivier Plaisant, the fixed income and money market team led by himself, the quantitative team led by Tony Boisseau, the private management team led by Philippe Chalvet as well as the research team directed by Karamo Kaba.

Guillou will retain his role of fund manager of the Ecofi Convertibles Euro, Ecofi Entreprises and Ecofi Patrimoine Diversifié funds as well as of that of fund manager of dedicated funds and mandates to institutional investors.

Also Ecofi has appointed Alain Canderlé as general secretary. He will oversee all administrative and financial tasks in the company, including among others compliance and reporting.

Ecofi Investissements had €7.9bn of assets under management as of 30 June 2016 and is a subsidiary of French banking group Crédit Coopératif.
