French life insurers record €1.2bn net inflows in September

French life insurers have recorded €1.2bn in net inflows in September 2015, the French insurance association (AFA) said.

Since the start of 2015, net inflows for life insurance products have amounted to €18.4bn, of which unit-linked savings subscriptions account for €10.1bn.

Deposits on unit-linked savings accounts have reached €20.2bn for the first nine months of the year, up 36% year-on-year. It represents 20% of all contributions that stand at €100.2bn since the beginning of 2015.

Some €81.8bn of benefits have been paid by French life insurance companies between January and September 2015 against €78.1bn over the same period in 2014.

French life insurers manage €1.56trn of assets as at end September 2015.
