La Financière de l’Echiquier strenghtens Value team

La Financière de l’Echiquier has appointed Maxime Lefebvre as co-portfolio manager of the Echiquier Value fund.

Lefebvre has expertise in distressed companies. He will work with Damien Marielle, portfolio manager of the Echiquier Value Fund.

Lefebvre joins from La Banque Postale where he was portfolio manager since 2014. Formerly, he held roles at La Française des Placements as European equity manager and marketing officer. In 2003, he started his career at Amundi in Hong Kong as marketing officer.

The stock-picking fund has €420m of assets under management and invests in undervalued European small and mid cap companies. Its investment universe includes over 2,000 stocks.

The Echiquier Value team seeks after gaps between the real value of the companies and their valuations on stock exchange markets with no market cap or sectors constraints.

Established in 1991, La Financière de l’Echiquier currently manages €8.1bn in assets.
