La Française Group unveils new branch of activity
Paris-based La Française Asset Management has opened a new line of business with an investment solutions unit.
La Française Global Investment Solutions (LFGIS), now operational, constitutes the third pillar of La Française, complementary to the group’s securities and real estate activities. All are grouped within La Française AM, as well as its incubation activity, represented by NExT AM.
LFGIS seeks to offer investors a platform of absolute return, credit and quantitative management funds as well as tailor-made investment solutions implemented through dedicated funds or mandates, or structured notes designed to address asset liability modeling issues for institutional investors.
This new business is run through two complementary entities: The fund management company La Française Investment Solutions (regulated by the French Financial Market Authority), and the bank, La Française Bank (regulated by the Luxembourg’s Financial Sector Supervisory Authority) which will be in charge of structuring EMTNs, marketing and selling LFGIS’ offer.
La Française Investment Solutions is 65% owned by La Française Group and 35% owned by its founders, Sofiène Haj Taieb, Nicolas Kompalitch and Arnaud Sarfati, and its employees. LFGIS employs 25 professionals to conduct core business functions and relies on the parent firm’s support functions to conduct risk control, compliance, internal control and middle office operations.
With its own dedicated sales force plus that of La Française AM, LFGIS will target a broad range of institutional and retail clients. It aims to position itself as a strategic partner for investors and thereby achieve total Assets Under Management of €6bn-10bn over the next three to five years.
