LFDE poaches analyst from BlackRock for €1bn fund

French asset manager La Financière de l’Echiquier (LFDE) has hired Louis Porrini (pictured) as equity analyst, InvestmentEurope can reveal.

Porrini has been assigned on the €1bn Echiquier Agressor fund, a flagship strategy of the Parisian boutique invested in European equities. He works alongside fund manager Guillaume Dalibot.

Previously, LFDE’s recruit has spent four years working at BlackRock as an associate equity portfolio manager.

The company has completed the integration of teams and funds of Stamina AM and AltaRocca AM in March following the deal reached with Primonial last November.

In June, Primonial’s chief executive officer Stéphane Vidal, discussed the merger and further expansion plans with InvestmentEurope.

Also, on 3 August 2018, three funds have been rebranded : Echiquier Agenor became Echiquier Agenor Mid Cap Europe while Echiquier Value was renamed as Echiquier Value Euro and Echiquier Oblig as Echiquier Credit Europe.

The investment policies of these funds remain unchanged and the rebranding aims to better reflect the philosophy and the investment universe of the concerned funds.
