Livret A’s outflows continue in August

French public savings accounts Livret A have seen €410m outflows in August, according to figures published by the Caisse des Dépôts et des Consignations (CDC).

Since the start of the year, outflows on Livret A have reached €3.83bn.  Livret A only recorded inflows in March.

In August 2015, the French government trimmed Livret’A rate from 1% to 0.75%, following a recommendation of the Banque de France.

Livret A’s assets managed by the CDC have amounted to €259.2bn as at 31 August 2015.
