Myria AM hires portfolio manager

French multimanagement and fof boutique Myria AM has appointed Arezki Sehad as portfolio manager focusing on absolute return and flexible funds with low volatility.

He joins a team now composed of 4 managers and led by Myria’s managing director and head of Asset Management Pierre Bismuth.

Sehad has experience in fund selection and risk analysis. He started his career at Dexia Investors Services Bank in 2006 before joining Natixis Multimanagers in 2010 as a risk multimanagement analyst.

In 2011, when Natixis Multimanagers merged with Banque Privée 1818 Gestion to form Vega Investment Managers, Sehad has been appointed a manager and analyst within Vega IM’s funds-of-funds team. He was managing flexible funds and absolute return funds. His responsibilities included asset allocation and risk analysis in fof portfolios.

Bismuth said Sehad’s appointment will help Myria AM to reach a €1bn threshold in assets under multimanagement by end 2016.
