NYSE Euronext is Oddo Midcap Forum partner
NYSE Euronext (NYX) has announced it will be a partner at the 16th Oddo Midcap Forum to be held on 10-11 January 2013 at the Centre de Congrès in Lyon, France.
The event brings together 170 companies listed on NYSE Euronext’s European market, up 14% from 2012, and 275 euro-zone investors, a 27% rise. The Forum, in which Lyon Pôle Bourse is also a partner, was created in 1997 to help listed companies in France and other countries promote their businesses to investors.
Participating issuers come from a variety of business sectors and have market capitalisations ranging from €10 million to €10 billion.
Oddo & Cie is an independent financial services group which now has some €22bn in assets under management. The capital of the Group is 42% held by the Oddo family, 30% by employees and 20% by Allianz.
Marc Lefèvre, Head of European Business Development and Client Coverage, Listings Europe, at NYSE Euronext, said the exchange had backed the Forum because efficient capital markets are the most effective way to allocate financial resources to business development.
“Communication is essential since it gives investors the background information and visibility they need to make investment decisions.”
NYSE Euronext exchanges in Europe and the United States trade equities, futures, options, fixed-income and exchange-traded products.
With approximately 8,000 listed issues (excluding European Structured Products), NYSE Euronext’s equities markets – the New York Stock Exchange, NYSE Euronext, NYSE MKT, NYSE Alternext and NYSE Arca – represent one-third of the world’s equities trading, the most liquidity of any global exchange group.
NYSE Euronext also operates NYSE Liffe, a leading European derivatives business and the world’s second-largest derivatives business by value of trading.
