Oddo AM commits to Swiss-German institutions
French group Oddo Asset Management has appointed Alain Meyer (pictured) as head of institutional clients for Switzerland within its international sales team.
Meyer will be based in Oddo AM’s representative office in Zurich where he will be responsible for developing the company’s Swiss-German client base.
Bertrand Levavasseur, head of Oddo AM’s international sales, said that Switzerland is the company’s main market outside France.
“By recruiting Alain Meyer we are stepping up our commitment to this market,” Levavasseur noted.
Meyer was previously part of the institutional team for German-speaking Switzerland and Germany at Wellington Management in London.
German-speaking Switzerland is attracting new attention from European asset managers.
Swiss group Unigestion also recently reinforced its presence in the region by opening an office in Zurich and appointing Daniel Ritz as director of institutional clients.
Oddo AM is part of Oddo & Cie, an independent financial group with €22bn in assets under management. Its activities include private banking, asset management and investment banking.
