Oddo AM mandated by the Caisse des dépôts

Paris based Oddo Asset Management (Oddo AM), which is set to become Oddo Meriten AM, has been mandated by the Caisse des dépôts, the French public institution managing savings books to manage a fund, Novi, dedicated to the financing of growing French SMEs.

Oddo AM will be managing the fund with Idinvest Partners. The Caisse des dépôts has subscribed to the fund as well as 22 massive institutional investors based in Paris.

Novi will invest on a long term in equities and debts of the companies composing the fund. Oddo AM will be responsible for the listed firms while Idinvest Partners will be in charge of the non-listed part of the fund.

Nicolas Chaput, CEO of Oddo AM sees Novi as “a major initiative for the financing of the French economy.”

He said that towards the choice of Oddo AM for the fund management of Novi, the firm’s expertise in managing portfolios investing SMEs was “recognised nationally.”

Oddo AM is managing over €16bn of assets. Its AUM will reach €40bn in the months to come due to its merger with German asset manager Meriten IM.

Idinvest Paris posts over €5bn pf AUM.
