Part of BNP Paribas AM European fixed income team to step down

French group BNP Paribas Asset Management has confirmed to InvestmentEurope that part of its European fixed income investment team based in Paris will be leaving the firm.

In a statement to InvestmentEurope, BNPP AM said it “is fully committed to continue to build on its leadership as a provider of European Fixed income investment solutions. With teams composed of more than a hundred of fixed income investment professionals, BNPP AM has developed strong investment processes and approach for years.

“A smooth transition is underway for the management of impacted client assets with the high-quality investments professionals that remain in place.”

According to French media NewsManagers, which first unveiled the move, six members of BNPP AM’s European fixed income team are set to relinquish their roles including Patrick Barbe, head of European Fixed Income, who works at BNPP AM since 1990.
