Pemberton opens Paris office and hires head of France

Pemberton, a manager specialised in private debt and direct lending to European mid-market companies, has opened an office in Paris. Geoffroi de Saint Chamas has been appointed head of France.

Saint Chamas has over 25 years of experience in the European corporate banking, acquisition and leveraged finance market.

Prior to joining the firm, he was head of Debt Advisory France at Lazard.  Previously, he was co-head of RBS’s Leveraged Finance business in France between 2000 and 2008. In this role, he has led more than 60 transactions involving acquisition financing for private equity firms and corporates, both for mid-market and larger companies.

Saint Chamas started his career at BNP Paribas and held various positions in advisory and structured finance at Credit Agricole.
