RBC Capital Markets hires head of France

RBC Capital Markets, the corporate and investment banking subsidiary of Royal Bank of Canada has announced the appointment of Eric Meyer as managing director, head of France.

Meyer is based in Paris. He will develop corporate finance activities ( advisory, ECM,…) towards large companies and private equity actors.

Meyer moved from Societe Generale where he held the positions of senior banker and managing director.

He was covering French corporates and financial sponsors, as well as clients and governments in the Gulf region.

Formerly, Meyer worked at JP Morgan, Crédit Suisse and SBC Warburg.

Josh Critchley, head of European Investment Banking, said : “Eric’s extensive experience makes him a strong addition to our senior management team in Europe, and positions us well to continue to grow our client relationships in the region. France is an important market for us and a key component of our European platform.”
