Rothschild and Koris International forge French deal on risk budget products
Rothschild & Cie Gestion and Koris International have agreed a deal to market and distribute investment solutions founded on the dynamic risk-budgeting techniques conceived and developed by Koris International.
As part of this agreement, Rothschild & Cie Gestion will take on the financial management of a fund incubator enabling the two companies to make use of dynamic risk management techniques in methods tailored specifically to investors’ needs.
Rothschild & Cie Gestion and Koris International are likewise joining forces to make these offerings available to private banking and institutional clients in France.
Jean-Louis Laurens, general partner, said it was a unique opportunity for Rothschild & Cie Gestion, and responded to individual and institutional client needs. With assets of more than €19.5bn, Rothschild & Cie Gestion is the Rothschild Group’s asset management firm.
Jean-René Giraud, CEO of Koris International said the deal reflects investors’ growing concern with effective control of losses, beyond that achieved by the customary techniques of diversification, volatility constraints, and tracking error. “The risk of loss is a subject the asset manager must be able to discuss openly with his or her clients so as to control all aspects of it, without conflicting with the investment strategy.”
