Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking has announced several appointments.

Guy Stear has been promoted head of Emerging Markets Strategy within the Cross Asset Research division, replacing Benoit Anne.

Based in Paris, Stear will work on the development of emerging markets research across the European, Asian and Latin American markets.

In addition, he will retain his current responsibilities as global head of Credit Strategy within the Cross Asset Research department.

Stear joined Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking in 2002 as a credit strategist and became head of the Credit Research Team in 2008. He has worked as head of Asia Research in Hong Kong from 2010 to 2014.

The firm also appointed Alexandre Courbon as head of Mergers & Acquisitions for France. He joined the bank in Paris in 2007 where he has been involved in a number of major deals with large listed companies.

Jean-Baptiste Giros and Alexis Le Touzé have been named co-heads of Equity Capital Markets in France, Belgium and Luxemburg, effective from 1st June 2015.

Giros was previously managing director in the ECM Paris team and Le Touzé was head of Strategic Investors Solutions for Societe Generale Private Banking.
