Societe Generale targets ultra high net worth entrepreneurs
Societe Generale is launching a new service, Private Investment Banking, aimed at ultra high net worth entrepreneurs with a holding company or a family office.
This service includes wealth management and investment banking for the management of private wealth and businesses, solutions for financial engineering, merger & acquisitions advisory, capital increases, initial public offerings and direct access to all capital markets.
The development of this activity will be headed by Galeazzo Pecori Giraldi, who has been appointed head of Societe Generale’s Private Investment Banking offering. He will be responsible for a team of senior bankers and account managers in Europe and the Middle East.
Giraldi joined Societe Generale in 2010 as deputy chairman of the investment banking committee, a role he will retain in parallel with his appointment at Private Investment Banking. He was previously chief executive of Morgan Stanley in Italy and Switzerland.
Societe Generale’s service bears similarities to the Maisons des Entrepreneurs network developed by BNP Paribas since 2009 which combines private banking with corporate and investment banking advice.
