Sycomore AM hires fund manager-analyst

Paris-based investment firm Sycomore Asset Management has appointed Alexandre Taïeb (pictured) as fund manager-analyst within its asset allocation team.

Reporting to Sycomore’s managing partner Stanislas de Bailliencourt,  he will among other tasks implement the firm’s investment policy across the discretionary mandate business.

Prior to joining Sycomore AM, Taïeb spent six years as an analyst at Forward Finance, an investment consultancy firm dedicated to institutional investors. He was responsible for analysing the economic financial news flow and researching interest rates and real estate.

Taieb contributed to the economic reports that were published by the company. He also worked at Lyxor Asset Management where he took part to the creation and optimisation of performance and risk analysis tools.

De Bailliencourt, portfolio manager of the Sycomore Allocation Patrimoine fund, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Alexandre to the team, which now includes 19 investment professionals. Alexandre’s research skills, as well as his experience in asset allocation and consultancy, will contribute to the expansion of Sycomore’s discretionary mandate business and will strengthen the firm’s ability to offer tailor-made solutions to our clients”.

Launched in 2001, Sycomore AM manages €5 billion in mutual funds and segregated mandates.
