Tikehau IM Real Estate strengthens equity team

The Tikehau Group has appointed Frédéric Jariel as co-head of its Real Estate arm.

Thomas Friedberger and Vincent Mercadier were also appointed to join the Equity unit of the company.

Jariel is a certified public accountant; he started his carrier as auditor for Coopers&Lybrand before joining Archon Group France – Goldman Sachs Real Estate dedicated subsidiary – in 1996, where he had been practising different jobs at European level for 17 years. In the end, he was COO Europe and CEO France.

Thomas Friedberger graduated from ESCP, started his carrier in 1996 and has been working in trading since then. After 4 years spent in Milan and Paris at the Société Générale on the convertible bonds and derivatives market and one year at JP Morgan on the credit and rates markets, he has worked for 13 years at Goldman Sachs in the London, Paris and Milan offices on forex derivatives, convertible bonds and equity, index and funds derivatives.

Before joining Tikehau IM, he was Managing Director in France and Benelux since 2008.

Vincent Mercadier, graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique and Berkeley University, he started his carrier in New York in 2007 as analyst at La Fayette Management. In 2010, he joined Royal Capital Management – a NYC based fund – where he was part of the research team as equity analyst.

The Group aims to raise €250m of capital for this activity and has already launched a first OPPCI (a French Real Estate dedicated fund) with a commitment of €80m.
