TLLX acquires Athymis Gestion

Stéphane Touilleux, the former CEO of Financière de l’Echiquier, has acquired a 55% major stake in Paris boutique Athymis Gestion, through its holding TLLX.

Touilleux will take the position of president at Athymis Gestion whilst Tristan Delaunay, co-founder of the firm, will remain managing director.

Touilleux said that through TLLX, he wants to invest in innovative companies with a huge growth potential.

Established in 2007, Athymis Gestion is specialised in asset allocation and fund selection towards IFAs, with currently over €100m of assets under management.

“The company offers a great base to go further in terms of research and in building news services,” Touilleux added.

Touilleux has announced plans for the launch of a range of high value added securities picking funds and for the strengthening of Athymis’ teams through recruitments and acquisitions.

He intends to introduce a startup mindset in the wealth management industry.

According to Thierry Lavaud, current president and co-founder of Athymis Gestion, Touilleux’s experience will speed up the growth of the firm.

Touilleux has launched TLLX, an advisory and investment firm, in 2014. He has worked at Financière de l’Echiquier from 2001 to 2014, where he helped the firm to raise its assets under management from €160m to €7.5bn as business development manager and CEO.
