TOBAM appoints head of Marketing
Paris-based quantitative asset manager TOBAM has announced the appointment of Rudyard Ekindi as head of Marketing.
His appointment is part of TOBAM’s ambition to further develop the strategic dimensions of its marketing endeavours globally. Ekindi will strengthen and organise TOBAM’s continued efforts to explain and promote the benefits of the Maximum Diversification approach towards investors and the investment community, including consultants, the firm said.
Ekindi is based in Paris and reports to Christophe Roehri, Managing Director, Global head of Business Development.
Yves Choueifaty, President of TOBAM, said: “We are committed to explaining the dangers of the market-cap weighted index and accompanying investors as they increasingly seek to adopt more efficient and strategic solutions. Promoting our thought leadership and unique Anti-Benchmark strategy to a wider audience is instrumental to our business development as more and more investors move away from the benchmark. Rudyard has the right profile to help us strengthen these initiatives and I am pleased to welcome him to the team.”
Rudyard Ekindi added: “TOBAM is so advanced that marketing here is a very sophisticated and technical exercise. TOBAM is a place where the principals of diversification and efficient allocation to risk factors govern all aspects of the investment process, and where portfolio implementation is given the utmost attention. By deploying these best practices to institutions across the globe TOBAM is modernising the investment management industry and I feel privileged to be part of this initiative.”
Before joining TOBAM, Ekindi was director at Credit Suisse Asset Management. Ekindi began his career as a consultant for KPMG Strategic Risk Management.
