Aberdeen’s Imre Tajti to discuss EMD at Hamburg Summit
Imre Tajti, investment manager Emerging Market Debt at Aberdeen Asset Management, is set to discuss the concept of total returns involving the EMD asset class when he takes part in the upcoming InvestmentEurope Autumn Pan-European Fund Selector Summit in Hamburg on 7-9 October.
With expectations of higher volatility along with higher yields from EMD compared to other fixed income assets, investors are looking to concepts such as total return to offer access to attractive EM bonds with lower risk levels. Tajti will outline Aberdeen’s approach where the fund manager has flexibility in EM/DM allocation, and is free to pursue long-short country and FX strategy or more active duration management.
Based in Budapest, Tajti joined Aberdeen in 2012 from ING Investment Management Hungary where he worked as senior fixed income investment Mmanager and was responsible for all fixed income investment. Previously, he worked for National Bank of Hungary as investment manager managing the national reserves of the country in dollars and euros. A CFA charterholder, Tajti graduated with a MSc in Economics from Corvinus University of Budapest.
