Allianz Real Estate appoints head of Indirect Investments
Thomas Gsaenger has now joined Allianz Real Estate as head of Indirect Investments.
Gsaenger joins Allianz Real Estate from HUK Coburg Insurances where he most recently worked as head of Investment Management Real Estate and Infrastructure.
He has been working for nearly 20 years in the real estate business holding several senior positions at real estate investment companies including Hannover Leasing, E.ON and Pacific Star Europe.
Thomas Gsaenger will have the overall responsibility for the global indirect real estate portfolio of Allianz, further developing the investment strategy for indirect investments. In his new position he will report to Olivier Téran, CIO of Allianz Real Estate.
“In the recent years indirect investments have added value to the real estate investment portfolio of Allianz. They provide attractive yields and allow us through risk diversification to invest in new markets and asset classes. With Thomas we are glad to further strengthen our expertise in fund investments to continue to drive our expansion in this sector,” said Olivier Téran.
