Axel Hörger to leave UBS Germany

UBS Germany AG has announced that Axel Hörger will leave his position as CEO and board member of UBS Germany as of March 2015. His position will be taken over by Thomas Rodermann who is currently co-head of the private banking and business division at Deutsche Bank AG.

Roland Koch, chairman of UBS Germany comments on Rodermann’s appointment: “his task will be to further strengthen UBS’s position in the Frankfurt financial centre and in Europe.”

UBS stressed that Hörger decided to leave in mutual agreement. “Following almost four intensive years as CEO of UBS Germany AG I have decided to take a different career path. I am now looking back to a successful period at UBS in which we managed to adjust the business to the changing realities following the financial crisis, to clear up backlog and to implement a new strategy.”
