Bank of China authorised for trading and clearing at Deutsche Boerse

The Bank of China has now been authorised to operate as trading and clearing participant via its Frankfurt branch on the Deutsche Boerse cash market, providing Chinese issuers and Asian investors direct access to German and European cash markets.

“We are pleased to be able to offer our Chinese issuers direct access to one of Europe’s most liquid trading venues from now on. Deutsche Boerse’s trading platforms are transparent and equipped with the highest standard of security mechanisms. They offer our clients attractive opportunities for expanding their presence in Europe,” LI Guang, president of the Frankfurt branch for Bank of China commented.

Deutsche Boerse and Bank of China have announced their cooperation last year, in the presence of President Xi Jinping and Chancellor Angela Merkel. The collaboration takes place alongside the existing partnerships between Deutsche Boerse and Bank of China in in the asset servicing, securities safekeeping and Renminbi business.
