Berenberg to reinforce focus on internationalisation

The German financial institution Berenberg has now appointed Peter Raskin as head of Private Banking while Tindaro Siragusano will increasingly focus on asset management in a bid to reinforce the firms growing emphasis on internationalisation.

The changes follow Berenbergs recent appointment to manage a GBP 3.5 bn pension fund mandate for Aerion Fund Management in March 2014. Berenberg has also opened a New York Office for its subsidiary Berenberg Asset Management LLC in January 2014.

Peter Raskin has been with Berenberg since 2009, he was previously in charge of international private banking and will now help to build out Berenbergs national and international private banking activities.

Tindaro Siragusano, who was previously in charge of private banking and asset management, will now contribute to building out Berenberg’s European presence in asset management.

Commenting on this recent appointment, he highlights: “We are seeing excellent growth perspectives in Scandinavia, the Benelux and Switzerland. We therefore aim to significantly increase the international distribution for our asset management business division from our London offices.”
