BNY Mellon appoints head of DACH asset servicing business

BNY Mellon has appointed Katherine Starks as head of its asset servicing business in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Central and Eastern Europe.

In her new role, Starks will lead the growth of BNY Mellon’s custody, depositary and fund accounting services in the region. Beyond established custody and administration services, she will oversee the delivery of value-added services, including BNY Mellon’s digital strategy.

“I came to BNY Mellon because of its significant market position and legacy of trust in the market,” Starks comments. “I look forward to strengthening our presence in the region and to continue to provide professional and innovative solutions to our clients” she adds.

Starks joins from Euroclear Group, where she spent more than 11 years as head of Continental Europe covering sales, relationship and account management.

Prior to that, she held sales roles among others at SunGard Capital Markets and at Trading Technologies.
