Carmignac appoints new country head and directors German team
Asset manager Carmignac has announced the appointment of Michael Schütt country head Germany and Austria, Roland Schmidt as head of Wholesale and Retail, and the promotion of Frank Rüttenauer as head of Retail Business Development.
Schütt joins Carmignac from BNY Mellon, where he was head of Wholesale Germany. Prior to that, he has worked amongst others for head of Sales German Banks at Invesco. He replaces Kai Volkmann, who left Carmignac earlier this year. Schütt brings 27 years of experience in the financial services industry, he will start his new position as of 1 September.
Carmignac has also appointed Roland Schmidt as head of Wholesale Business Development Germany and Austria. Before joining Carmignac, he was head of Sales at M&G International, he also worked for Baring Asset Management and Fidelity Investments and has 15 years of experience in asset management. Schmidt will start is new position as of 1 July.
In addition, Frank Rüttenauer has been promoted as head of Retail Business Development. He has been with Carmignac for 7 years and has 15 years of experience in the financial industry. Schmidt and Rüttenauer will be reporting to Michael Schütt.
