Deka launches EM fund aimed at foundations

Deka Group, the investment firm for the German Sparkassen, has launched  a new EM multi-asset fund tailored towards investments by  foundations and church organisations.

The fund, which aims to provide returns in a low-interest environment invests in emerging market bonds, corporate bonds and up to 40% equities.

In order to comply with the specific requirements of foundations the funds advisory board consists of representatives of foundations for Deka Investment GmbH and DekaBank.

Its selection process is quantitative and index agnostic whilst focussing on providing an appropriate risk return profile based on the specfici requirements of foundations and church organisations. The investment threshold is set at €50.000.
